A four-topic, 60-day learning path aligned with Grade 4 Mathematics in Alberta and the Calgary Board of Education framework. Students develop computational fluency, mathematical reasoning, spatial understanding, and the ability to apply mathematics to authentic problems. Each topic is designed for approximately 15 instructional days and includes learning, guided practice, problem solving, and formative assessment.

Students develop a strong understanding of whole numbers to 10,000 and use that understanding to calculate, estimate, compare, and solve problems. They will represent numbers using place-value charts, base-ten models, standard, expanded, and word forms; compare and order numbers; round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, and 1,000; and apply mental-math strategies. Students will strengthen addition and subtraction of multi-digit numbers, estimate to check reasonableness, and solve one- and two-step problems involving money, measurement, and everyday situations. The topic should include multiple representations, mathematical discussion, error analysis, and opportunities to explain strategies rather than relying only on procedures.
