Over approximately 15 days, students investigate air and water as important parts of the natural environment. They learn that air takes up space, can move objects, and affects weather and everyday activities. Students explore where water is found, how it changes through heating and cooling, and how people, animals, and plants depend on clean air and water. They practise making observations, recording results, identifying patterns, and discussing ways to conserve and protect these resources. Learning should include simple investigations and outdoor observations whenever possible.
